SeaStar Power Assist – SPA - hydraulic steering dramatically reduces steering loads in heavy/high torque SeaStar hydraulic steering applications
– delivering exceptional performance and unparalleled levels of safety and comfort even in the mostextreme conditions. Suitable for most boat types and powered from the boats battery (12V or 24V) SeaStar Power Assist steering uses an electronically controlled hydraulic pump to provide “Power” for your SeaStar hydraulic steering system, it is installed in between the helm pump and the cylinder. The system virtually eliminates all steering loads even in the most extreme applications making the boat more comfortable to steer allowing the boat to be driven safely and easily by the whole family…and by people of all ages.
The SeaStar Power Assist unit can be installed on both new SeaStar steering installations (helms 1.4, 1.7, 2.0 & 2.4), or as an easy retro-fitwith single ormultiple steering stations and/or autopilots. Should the power to the Power Assist unit fail for any reason, the steering system automatically returns to manual but heavier operation without any changes to the number of turns lock to lock. Can now be connected directly to the switch board or distribution block. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical mounting without the need of an extra bracket. ABYC, CE, NMMA, ISO 10592 Approved.
